Back to the Pacific

After weeks of cities, mountains and volcanoes, El Zonte brings us back to saltwater. The Pacific becomes the playground again: surf at sunrise, explore the volcanic coastline, eat seafood barefoot and let the afternoon disappear beside the water.

Border crossings mean we'll check every vehicle document before departure and again after arrival, followed by a quick inspection of tires, fluids and anything that might have loosened during the day's drive. Then the FJ80 gets parked. This is a stop for surfing, stretching, sleeping and letting tired shoulders disappear beneath a massage table.
